i found this little guy in a shallow part of my dad's pond when i was back home. he was kind enough to let me play paparazzi and shoot a few pictures while he stuck his snout out of the water. he was about 1 foot long, not very big at all, but was relatively unfrightened of me as i crouched less than a foot away from him. when i first stumbled upon him, he rolled, very nearly completely belly-up in the water, showing me a white tummy (snakes have tummies dammit!) and the assumed the deadly s-position (if you watch crococile hunter or jeff corwin you'll know) but relaxed after a bit.
he ran away after ralphie the little ginger boy leapt onto my back soaking wet.
he's quite the little swimmer, unafraid of the water.
